Renting a Property in Spain (Long Term) – 5 Things to Know

When moving to Spain and looking for that dream home in the sun it is worth considering a few things before you call us here at One Marbella Long term rentals.

Area

Have an idea of the areas you may be interested in. What is important to you? This may be a property located either near schools, amenities, golf or beach.

Type of Property

Do you want an apartment in a gated community? Maybe a Townhouse which is great for small families with some outside space. Or a detached Villa giving you your own pool & private garden.

Budget

Prices are quoted on a monthly basis and rental periods for long term rentals are 11 months. These do not include utility bills such as Water, electric, internet etc. There will normally be a security deposit of 2 months plus at least 1 months’ rent in advance.

References

You will probably be asked to provide:

  1. Evidence of employment or ability to pay the rent;
  2. Tax identification number (if you are working);
  3. Passport or ID;
  4. Personal references.

Tenancy Agreement
